Utah!

Sundance, yes, I do have some FBCM eggs. Want me to bring them on Saturday?

Cynthia: I have plenty of yard, but about half of the house I need. So, I'm planning on selling this house and buying something with more house. Being able to have chickens is vital (dh rolls his eyes here, but gives in gracefully), but odds are, I won't be able to keep my rooster. Unless those rooster collars really work!

Red, I'm so glad that you found Chelsea!!!

So...... I made it to CAL Ranch.... and ended up bringing home 3 bantys (ALMOST came home with ducks... Cynthia, I'm pretty sure they had the welsh harlequins.... they were the lighter with tips of gray). 1 cochin bantam (I think it's a silver laced) and then a TINY black baby, with white under chin, and on the underside of belly (no feather feet), and then one that looks like a chipmunk (super tiny like the black, no feather feet)

can anyone perhaps enlighten me on the breeds/sexes (if you can tell) of the two tiny ones?

the black one (my suspicion is the black Japanese Bantam after googling)

the chipmunk colored one (after googling, I 'think' it might be maybe an Old English Game chick.. I don't really know)

and then the silver laced (?) cochin bantam (feathered feet)

Sundance, I was talking with Wendy, and we are meeting up in Salt Lake around lunch time, I'm getting some eggs from her, and she said that she has some FBCM eggs for you. If you want I will bring up the Partridge, Chocolate and 2 Whites and you can choose which one of the Whites you want, they both look about the same to me. We just want to keep one of them. Let me know, if not I can just take the 3 down to your friend in Orem.

My friend is going to keep them for me so her kids have some chicks to play with just take the three to her clinic. I appreciate you holding them

bitsy it sounds like you've done a pretty good guess it job on them your self. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you got a Japanese bantam, they get those a lot. That little silver one is pretty! Hope it's a girl.
One of my tiny NN's isn't doing too well. Giving it a real light mix of electrolytes. And, I'm feeding it by hand, a little at a time throughout the day.
It's my favorite of course.

Thanks! I am really hoping that my silver one is a girl as well :) I think I guessed wrong on the coloring though, after looking it up....

I'm pretty certain my black one is a japanese bantam... that picture and the one I was looking at are pretty much dead on.... I hope they're all females... the Japanese bantams have two different colored babies, ones that have more white on them, and then the more black one. The way they had it pictured, makes me think that the more black one is a male

They only had like 1 or 2 of those NN's left when I was there this morning, they are much more cute in person lol!

I think my little chipmunk one could be having a tough time... it's weird to me though, it'll pop up and run around a bit, and I see it eating and drinking, but then it will go back to sleeping... it's sleeping more than the others... maybe it's just extra tired, and just catching up on some zzz's. Those tiny ones keep getting stepped on lol, poor things :)

I have a Japanese Bantam that I got from Cynthia last May. She is a feisty little thing. She is the only one that is way flighty too. But we still love her. No bigger then a robin. She is small. And jet black.

Last call out to anyone that wants that Silkie/Serama Mix. My guess is Roo, its comb is starting to turn red, and its about 6 1/2 weeks. Its going on KSL before it gets any bigger. Hehe.
