Utah!

I am planning on the Box Elder County fair meet, next Saturday. This Saturday I get to dedicate a new DUP marker and log cabin in Mendon. I am wanting to bring the lovely Karole with me… if that is ok. My better 4/5ths or so. I won't make the trip to the Utah County fair, thanks for the heads up. I went to the Franklin County, Idaho fair today, Perhaps 40-50 birds, some bantys no fancy types that I noted, the kind many of you like (think Lisa). The poofy headed, harry feet and poodle look types.;)  I like my legs clean thank you and my feet shaven. They are all fun however. :frow

Thanks all for the kind information and such,

RJ

That is so funny, I like that... the "poodles" of the chicken world. :D They do make me smile!

Speaking of poodles, I have some that need to get to abkoldewyn and cynthia12...anybody headed that direction from Logan?
Bountiful and Spanish Fork?

Cynthia, yes the face might be cute, but harry feet on a bird is just not right, the same for unshaved legs.

I have a riddle of sorts for this evenings entertainment… a game of good old 'Rock Paper Scissors.' In the photograph below can you pick out the different choices?

I'll have to come up with some kind of prize or such for the winner(s). Lisa, thanks for the reminder on the calendar photo. I'll have to try to find the full sized one and perhaps I can get it in on the 'morrow. I have coop on the brain, it is a lot more work to build one, than the fun it took to envision it. Must be like having more than one child…

Anyway off to dreamland, I hope,

RJ

Ohh, so much nicer than the ones I saw at the fair yesterday. You have some pretty Barred Rocks there.
I was thinking at the fair, should have had my girl in. (nah) Will have to get photos of her. She is very pretty. Hatched her from someone that has had them forever. A nice heritage. Are your Barred Rocks talkers? Loud talkers? My girl is so loud when ever I go out. And, fun thing..she is now squatting for me..should get an egg any day now. Love her tight pattern of bars, she is one of the prettiest Barred Rocks I've had.

You know I really like the number of people in this thread that like Barred Rocks, you, Lisa, Liz, me and I am sure others I have either missed or forgotten. I would suppose it to be the number one liked bird here on BYC/Utah. Someday I hope to get to your neck of the woods/state. I have it from reliable sources that you are a wonder hatcher. Something I am not so much. I like to go to Moab in the off season and come through your town to get up highway 6. I'll have to give you a holler and see if I can catch a peek at your birds and such.

Anyway, this is a swell thread,

RJ

Lisa! I just sent you a pm. I'm going to be in Logan next Saturday to run a race :). So if that's not too long to wait, I can just pick them up then . No need for a train :). Yay for perfect timing!!!

I love BR. They have the best personality, mine have been chatty too Cynthia, I just love it. Very curious, very adventurous, but sweet and no fighting. And good layers to boot....and oooohhh the eye candy out on the green grass!
