Utah!

Agh don't tell me that! Now I can't go in there. Although I would like to throw in a word of caution - Sometimes they mislabel their breeds. I got my RIR hen because she was labeled as a Welsummer there. They don't always know what breeds they have :/
was actually thinking of you when i saw those breeds. yeah i always worry about getting the correct breed. but yeah it was very hard to not walk out with chicks

hmmmmm, interesting... I got some straight run red leghorns there a while ago. I wonder if they really are!! Anyone know what red leghorns look like? Ha ha ha

Just jumped on to say hey, hello, and Hi... So I got stuck coming home from the feed store with 3 more chicks. EKKK... Had to get chicken food, and of course my daughter had to save an OB, it had so much poop covering it I wasn't even sure if really was an OB. And then we got 2 California White, because they were the last 2 there, and she felt bad for them. Oh boy, what I'm I going to do with all these new chicks. Totally going to have to thin out the 2-3 year olds this summer, but I just don't have the heart too. I'm really thinking of re-home 2 of my 4 Silkies too, and I think one is broody

Such is my life, of wanting a billion chickens.

FBCM roo and FGCM pullet from La Casa and Sundancenbare. Thank you! And my two roosters that got us back into chickens.

Good morning, my dears! There is nothing quite like being greeted and spurred by a hormonal turkey whilst feeding everyone in the morning. Don't you worry, though - I gave him the smackdown. He hid on the other side of the coop after that. Guess who just confirmed his reservation for freezer camp?

SideWing, great picture! Looks like that GCM is going to be quite poofy.

I am wondering if anyone knows the rules in Herriman for roosters? I will eventually go to the city to ask but am busy with finals week at the moment. I am in the zoning allowance for "chickens for family food production" but could not find anything about rooster restictions at the city site.

What area are you in? I'm in the hamilton farms area.

I'm in Hamilton farms too. I looked at the city ordinance, the HOA, PUD, and terms and covenants of Hamilton farms. They all refer to and support the city zoning ordinance with one exception. If you don't have at least a half acre you cannot keep a horse. The city ordinance says you can have a horse on a one third acre.

Yup, Yup, my Silkie is broody, crossing all fingers the other 3 doesn't go at the same time.... Anyone have eggs for sale or eggs I can come pickup and bring you back the babies when she is done being momma?
