The two langshan I got was accidental... my husband claims I have an addiction to chickens because I can't say no but I corrected him and explained its a hobby. I want purple eggs!

For you, I have a pic to make you smile. Started hatching a few hours ago... 13th bator full of eggs to hatch since February loL! Some nice head humps on this batch. This little white SG is my 4th generation of my own, and it is so nice! The skin is super black, the toes are great, they are coming along, starting to look closer to where I want them

<3 So excited to get a white, too, lots of blues and blacks so far.




This one still has a greaser hairdo, kind of wet...but I though it was pretty funny how it is sitting on this black SG's head like it's the boss haha

It is funny because as I read this, I am in school reading the book the outsiders. They are so cute! congratulations.

Ended up in the ICU in the hospital last night. :/ I had the worst chest pain, and it went up my throat, just squeezed. They got me right in. Did a blood test right away, and of course I had EKG done. I was sweating..had all of the symptoms of a heart attack. They wanted to keep and eye on me, and do more blood work, and do a stress test today. My heart looks ok! So what's up? They say the Esophagus can cause pain like this. And, the Nitro can work for the pain like it did when they gave it to me in hospital. What a night and day. I am so tired, no sleep there! I'm still feeling pain in the chest, but not bad.

I hope you get to feeling better!

I'm so excited I bought 12 cuckoo silkie eggs from back east and was hoping for at least 1 or 2 to hatch and I got 7!!!!! But I cannot keep the humidity high enough for hatching soi had to help most out

Well, day 14 candling, and I still have all 15 wiggling and doing awesome! (there were only 2 yolkers at the beginning) I noticed there were a few that the air cell hasn't gone down a lot.... (I haven't "measured it", just against each other and seeing how far down some are already) do I need to worry about that yet? or is it a concern at all?

I'm so stinking excited!!!

oh, and I snagged 3 silkie and 2 serama eggs from Brian to put under my broody Silkie hen (course, he gets the chicks back after they hatch, because I can't keep them lol!!!....I'm hoping they'll all hatch out!)

I just wanted to try the broody as this is the 3rd time already this year that she's gone broody... she is determined! I laugh though... I took the wooden eggs from under her, and started sliding the real eggs under her, and she half heartedly pecked at me... and then realized I was putting eggs UNDER her hahah... she is a cutie though

My first hatching eggs are set to arrive on Friday! I can't wait and I'm so, so nervous! I bought abko's Advance Mini so we'll be doing 7 eggs. I'm hoping we'll get some to hatch! I have no idea what I'm doing.
