Utah!

So in a fit of insanity, I ordered some frizzle / sizzle / silkie eggs online. I ordered 8 because I knew at least half won't hatch. The seller, thinking the same thing, sent me 15 eggs. They arrived Friday. I don't have an incubator and my bantam cochin can't cover that many.

Anyone want to take a gamble on the last 6 eggs? I think 4 of them are good, but they've been shipped, so who knows. (The eggs came out of California, so there is some hope they didn't get shook around too much.)

Offering here...If you want more...and are in N Utah, I have more of these eggs than I know what to do with :D No worrying about shipping....Last three hatches 100% developed, but some don't make it out at hatch due to the tophats being pretty lofty, they often need assisting. If I collect them straight from the coop they would have showgirls mixed in though, so there would definitely be some NN out of mine...or I could separate a few of the Sizzle/Silkie hens to my empty pen and collect eggs for a few days, neither roo is NN or carries the NN gene so that would give all full feathered babies. :D

CLOVERLEAF: Love the beards on your Favs. They are so fluffy! Very nice birds, so glad to have you on here!

Welcome..you are almost in Idaho. :) Right?

What have you got for chickens..or chicks first time mom? Lucky, you have a lot of land!

Thanks @La Casa de Pollo Next time someone goes broody, I'll take you up on that. I've always wanted a show girl...

Great! I have many many showgirls lol! Love them, they are my favorite. The hatches are all blue black and splash, with a once in a while white and silver/partridge.

Ok it looks like everyone is getting their roosters new homes, so I will put it out there what I have right now....

I have two Really really nice splash Marans roos, (I will cry if these go for food so I really hope someone wants them!) and am growing out a few Blue Copper Marans roos, and will pick one to keep in a few weeks, the other two will need to go. Just putting it out there if anyone here wants these breeds. The Marans are all about 10 weeks. I have a Splash OE roo also. Same age.

There will be several silkie and frizzled silkie roosters after I can figure out what gender they all are....right now I can only tell there are two SG roos, both blue, and one frizzle splash SG male (very cute) . If anyone needs one and wants a specific color holler :D These guys range from 8 weeks to 3 months.

Photobomb of SG probable Roos...I wish there were far less! I can't believe how few probable pullets I have, I should not have sold as many chicks, I think they had to be all the girlies haha :D

@Cynthia12 it was Papa's Poultry . So far my experience has been good, he was willing to ship out the eggs the same day I placed my order and I got 15 well wrapped eggs instead of 8. Now if my cochin manages to hatch a few, I'll be happy.

@La Casa de Pollo that smooth pullet is adorable.

Since we're all chicken people here... I bought eggs because I thought both my bantams were going broody. My silkie, who is a flake, but a good mom and my cochin who I've never used as a broody before. I thought, "I'll get eggs and if the cochin breaks, I'll just stick them under the silkie." However, as soon as I moved the cochin out of the coop, the silkie decided that she wasn't really broody and started laying again. Seriously, I swear the silkie has spent every other month trying to go broody and the one time... So now I'm hoping my cochin is a good mom.
