Utah!

we have a few inches of snow here. if any of you need building supplies, you should check out the habitat for humanity restore, its like the di but for home improvement stuff. they always have tons of doors and windows, hardware and just about any home improvement thing you can think of and the prices are super cheap too

Wheeee doggies! 8+ inches of snow in Tooele means I got my car stuck. AGAIN! I hope it doesn't dump another 8 out there before I can get it freed..........I guess I really should stop treating my little sedan like a jeep.

Hector, I hope your chicks arrive safe and sound!

We got a couple inches here, but it was sure blowing like crazy last night. Yuck!!

Corvidae, where did you get your legbar eggs? I'll take some when you are overrun in chickens next year!! I'm glad your survivors are doing so well!

Chiko, congrats on your coming babies!

Red, sorry about getting stuck in the snow. I hate that.

Bird-Man, isn't Restore just off I-15 in the south salt lake area? I've been meaning to check the place out, but since i don't live there, it's not terribly convenient.

I was going to put my BLRW outside today, but it's so cold and snowy that I can't. Hopefully the weather will warm up enough that I can move them outside this weekend.

Hector, did you get them yet?

Sphinx - Yeah, me too. I love snow, but I do not love it when it turns on me and strands my car. Bleh. That's what tow chains are for *sigh*

And Lisa, how's your feather-picker doing this fine, arctic day?

Oh she was out there during the storm and through most of the morning. My prized baby Violet (BR) is missing most of her tail. Grrr. I put HenRee out again about an hour ago, some of the snow has melted and she is eating grass. I have been doing the 22% protein food, plus mealworms, plus meat scraps. She has not settled down yet, I imagine it might take some time...I kind of feel bad for the others, they watch her prance around the yard, they all want out, I feel like a bad momma who is rewarding her child for bad behaviour lol. If they did not dig so much I would let the others out and leave her in the coop.....but it is so much easier to clean up after one than 7. :) It is still too muddy to have them all digging up all the flower beds and prancing mud all over my patio.

Hector----hoping you got your babies dafe and sound! Esp. with that crazy weather yesterday, do let us know!

Cynthia---where are you! Do you have babies hatching this weekend?

Aww sorry Lisa. I'm sure the situation isn't made any easier with the weather being how it is. Your girls may be wishing that they were outside, too, but look at it this way: On the very slim chance that a predator were to come snooping around, they would be safe, and HenRee would be the prime target

Not exactly a cheerful idea, but there you go.
