Oh, they are so cute! I can't wait to see how they turn out.



I'm like Corvidae- I just turned them 3-5 times a day, making sure that the overnight side was alternated.

Those Polish are so dang cute!!! Are they LF or bantam? Thanks for everyones help. I am grateful I don't have to get up in the night to turn them. Although, I may be doing that anyway. I'm so stressed about the temperature flucuations. At one point I checked and it had gone to 104 so I raised the lid to let heat out quickly. I check it every 10 minutes so it couldn't have even been for 5 minute at that temp. UGH! I just turned them and now the temp is at 95. Does the temp have to be a constant 102 for a still air?
Have I ruined these little babies? I know I will be up all night checking.

those incubators are notoriously touchy. The slightest bump in temp can affect it quite a bit, from what I've heard. A few minutes at that high temperature won't bother the eggs that much- much like you walking through a 150 degree room for 4 minutes won't kill you.

Does your have a big knob? I've seen some people who've used milk carton lids to make a bigger turner. Go to the incubating page and see if you can find them talking about it.

So I am at 17. Have two-four potential cockerals to rehome. So 13-15. And hatching eggs, but I have people who want them....I am DONE DONE DONE. No more buying chicks. I swear. Not unless something happens to my current flock. DONE I say. There it is in writing!

. If you want to try some of the eggs we have in the fridge there are all fertile just dont know it they will hatch out.
