Utah!

She is, but I think she almost never posts, I don't think.

Here's her profile: https://www.backyardchickens.com/u/77869/riverrockfamilyfarm

She was telling me that she doesn't candle her eggs. She just sticks them in the incubator and lets them be.

How does one do that? Even with my school eggs, I've managed to candle three times.

Thanks! I'll just call her again then, doesn't look like she's online much.
It's been all I can do not to candle my eggs every day. LOL. I've done it 3 times now, today is day 15. She either has way too much on her plate, not providing her with any time to candle or....I dunno! I don't know how she doesn't candle!

If the incubator is at my house, I'm usually candling every day from day 3 to about day 14-15 (after that, maybe every other day til lockdown).

I'm just not so good with the waiting. LOL

Ok so I am a dog about candling too. I actually have to force myself to do it once or twice isn't that funny! I hate unplugging the bator and hauling it to the bathroom where it is dark, I feel all panicky that I am going to drop them/trip walking with them or they will get too cold. I have tried taking them one at a time, and I did trip with one of Donna's eggs, I am just so klutzy I hate to mess with them. So I am trying to make myself do it at day 7 and at lockdown. On shipped eggs I like to candle at the beginning to see what is up with the air cells. But that time does not make me have anxiety because I have not set them yet and they are not live babies yet so to speak. :) Once they start developing I am pretty stressed about touching them or moving them.

Cynthia---No he did no come up here today. I talked to him again Friday though and he told me all that stuff he had to do, I told him no problem if he wanted to keep them here a few more days, I told him no rush ---to get south first---so long as I knew he was really taking them and not disappearing on me :) I do not might babysitting these little babies, I just am afraid I will want to keep more of them as I can see how cute they are getting. They are keeping perfect company with the little ameraucanas you sent back for me. They all snuggle and sleep in a little pile.

Cindy/Bluejems--c'mon already with those kids huh!! It was good to see you guys yesterday--hope you got to your place on time. How is the toe on that baby you took home? Glad to hear you roo looks a little more rooish next to your hens:)

Hmm, well I'm down to eight chickens now...just the Hatricks(c) flock to buy left... So Excited :)

oh, the flock members left include: 1 Booted Bantam, 1 Serama, 2 Sebrights, 2 Silkies and a Japanese.

Hey Lisa and Wendy, can you believe that our lavender pullets will be 6 months on May 3rd?? We need to have a bet on whose will lay first. I know it won't be mine. She is still small. No red yet. Turning pink though. So, I am guessing the norm for these girls. Around 6 to 7 months old. Do either of you think it will be next month? That will be 6 months. Some people say they go 8 months! Oh well. as long as she lays beautiful eggs for me through the fall and winter. :) I will guess that my girl will wait until the 8th month. Hmm, that's July. Hope so!

Oh, and then there's that Pencil. They also mature later. I am thinking June for mine. What about you Brad? Mine is looking kind of funky right now. Long neck, stands tall on those long legs. She is getting the red in her face and comb. She just needs to fill out all over the rest of herself! lol.. Pretty, pretty lacing though! Wow.

Cynthia are you sure---I have down the lavs are born 2/1/12 ???Did I write that down wrong...they still look way young to me :) I got LaVerne and Shirlee from you in December., born mid November.....and these were born way after that I am sure of it....way after christmas.

I got Ozzie and the fat face EE's on 2/17 and it was just a few weeks after the lavs.

Ok, so I'm on a roll here...thought I would get some pictures of my Silkie I have outside. That tail is looking like a bunny tail. The pictures don't show it well, but when she/he is standing right, it is a little ball on her butt! Cute. She is with the Exchequers and a couple of Ameauracanas.
I do believe she is a splash. That makes me smile. :))
Had to get a picture of the fuzzy butt, well there are two, but Pinkys is more of a fuzzy butt. Not sure that pink tip toe shows anymore, too many feathers on the feet!
