Utah!

Lisa, yep, the butt and stance really look rooish to me, too. I'm still fostering hope, though. Until he actually crows, I guess I can be a little delusional.

Sphinx, yeah, I can definitely see some RIR/PR in this guy. I think someone pulled an oops and snuck into the pen when the owner wasn't looking. After all, all it takes is one go, and that hen's good for two weeks. It's interesting, though - I have always heard that male RIR's can be aggressive and nasty, even to the point of killing intruding dogs. This guy is pretty agreeable. He's not a wuss by any stretch, but he doesn't have beans for a brain, unlike one of his brothers...........*cough*

Blujems----OH!!! My rockstar's twin brother lol~!

They are so stinking fun, their hairdos are awesome . I am hoping they are both girls. But but not too optimistic after we were comparing to my 'for sure' girl Frisco....

I love that little splash too. The splash coloring on it is really purdy and she is a sweetheart! Man I hope its a girl!! The three rows of peacomb makes me skeptical for sure. Look at it's face though.....so sweet.
Hey if you want me to get you something that age at chickenstock I could do it! I am really hoping there are some FBCMarans....the two people that have really nice ones are not going so I do not know what else will be there. Crossing fingers. I do not want one unless it comes from the super dark egg laying stock. That is my main reason for getting one. I had such bad luck with those Marans eggs I may go to Paul to get those birds myself in the few weeks after she has more ready.

Sasha---scared to candle these again. Think I will wait and cross fingers. Had to take one out this morning, it was oozing, not good....it had a hairline crack along a soiled part....followed right along, like it ate through the shell. Never seen that....it was a weird air cell egg, so the four that had good cells are still there. Whew! And it is good to see a space! No worries

Were they moving at all?

I'm thinking if I want crele bantam Wyandottes, I'm going to have to get some good stock and start breeding for them myself. Grr! So frustrating. This morning I just wanted to sit and cry a river, thinking about how few eggs we have left from what we started with. Now, I'm just peeved. The breeder did say "never wash hatching eggs, no matter how dirty they are". I wonder if maybe we should have anyway? We'll never know.

I have six total. 2 are Blue Andalusians, 2 Rhode Island Reds, and 2 Easter Eggers. I am hoping to figure out the roos and then add a silkie or two. We are still working on our coop. I think we should have it done in the next week. For now, they are in the garage in a temporary coop. I play with them outside for at least two hours a day. I have two children that are 1 and 2 and they love to play around the chickens. They love petting them and hanging out with them.

Hello everyone! I am a first time poster on this site and I am hoping for some help. I am looking to add a few more hens to my flock. I started small with an Australorp and easter egger. They are eighteen months old and I love them!! I am looking for some hens between 10 to 12 weeks old.
I would like 2 Rhode Island reds, another Australorp or Austrwhite, and another easter egger. Anyone have any girls for sale please let me know. Thanks!

I hear ya! There were so stinking many eggs, I thought these would be massive all running around together! Plus I feel bad because they are not mine, and I hate to see you lose the money you spent on them, and the time waiting....I wish I could get more of them to work :he I am wondering what is going on in those little things...I wish we could see more of what is going on inside of them. The waiting is the worst.
