Utah!

Dave, I wasn't aware that there were nice tempered geese. Every one I've ever met has been mean. Welcome to BYC though!

I had such a good time visiting with Cynthia! And yeah, I just had to take the Partridge, she is sooooo beautiful! My kids named her Rose. The new lavender seems longer and skinnier than mine, but so far, everyone is getting along well. And yes, now I *FINALLY* have a hen who lays eggs.

Here's everyone in my "big kids coop" except for Indy, the legbar. She was right next to me and not in the picture. She loves to be right with me when I go out there. Cynthia's two chickens are in the back. My lav is in the front.

Cynthia I will be looking forward to seeing pictures of your hatch and yes I will probably be interested in some of your silkies. I love my Silkies I have two whites, partridge, and a dark blue. Maybe a showgirl for me? Or a splash. I forgot when they will be hatching.

Oh wow, your lavender girl is more fat..fatten up that other lavender Shinx..did your kids come up with a name for her? She is really stretching out there, looking to see what other kind of trouble is coming her way! lol..poor girl. Now she can settle down and be happy again.
You have a pretty flock there. Wish that legbar would have come on out for the photo shoot.
It was fun seeing you. You have beautiful children, although, not sure your teen would want to be called a child. She was so quiet. Man, can't get over how much she looks like you. Two beautiful young women. :))

Have to add..so far..all of the people that I have met from this site..are great huggers..I love a good old fashion and sincere hug!

Sphinx it looks like you won't be long in having a lot more egg layers. Some of those hens look like they are getting ready. Pretty birds.
My area is so small where I keep my chickens that I do better with bantams because I can't just stick with 2 or 3 but I love those large ladies. So pretty.

I have been putting off posting so I wasn't stealing all of Sasha's thunder but here is the final count. 11 eggs to lock down and 5 hatches. 4 Wyandotte and one Cochin.

These should be in the order of hatch the best we can tell.

Wyandotte 1

Wyandotte 2

Cochin

Wyandotte 3

Wyandotte 4

Oooo, pictures of yours would be fun to see. I will post when they hatch. Will be a while. I have two breeders going on with the Silkies, and then the Showgirls are from just one. It's always fun to see what pops out with the Silkies and Showgirls.
I really would like to see a picture of your Partridge..I want one of those, and maybe a blue. and maybe a black. and maybe a buff. LOL...I better decide which color I like best, can't keep all of them.

Teerex..those are darling! I love the dark wyondottes. That cochin is going to get a loot bigger. :)) They are the sweetest gentle giants. Have you had them before? Pretty babies!

Oh wait, unless your cochin is a bantam, they are sweethearts too..I've had several of those in the past.
