Still amazing to me too. Shirley, the one who hatched, is the one that I can't quite remember. It seems like it was either welsummer or barnevelder. Probably not a purebred. The dark olive one is an olive egger, and I think there's lavender ameraucana and bcm in the mix. The third one, that's mostly out of camera, is the coronation sussex.
I'm jealous you got to meet Hattie!!!
Cynthia, no, I got these eggs from Suzie from River Rock Family Farm, up here in South Weber. She'd set aside some coro sussex, a silver sussex, and then two ameraucanas. I rejected the one ameraucana (felt like it was a little too big and wouldn't turn well) and grabbed Shirley from her eating eggs basket, which is mainly mutts.
Ok sitting her staring at the webcam.. Have too much time on my hands. Here is something to look at while we wait patiently for these chicks to hatch lol! So in another window, I will post pics of my new little coop, "La Casita". The front door is still not cut out, the white letters are not up.....but you can see how fun it is. It is a bit of a mess still but between this and the playhouse we are working on getting it all put back together ! Oh and for fun I have a pic of my 6 youngsters---the 2 wheatens from qcu, 2 black and 1 blue AM from Cynthia dear, and the Marans we got at chickenstock from Birdguy. Then there are a few pics of my polish because they kept sticking their heads out at my phone like they wanted picturesKinda blurry, did not have my camera. Notice all the feathers laying around? That is why Shirlee will be on KSL this week Grrrrr![]()
