I'm jealous... where's the picture??

X's 2! Pictures???

Birdguy, yessirree I am loving the thought of a picture of Fonzie, red paint and all!

I had it on 6 of mine, the one that was the worst is clean now.....my Polish's face and front of her crest was covered, it looked awful, like she had been injured. I have one, my White Rock that still has a bit on her back. It is coming off bit by bit :)

Cynthia, I am traumatized by your chick pictures, I was dreaming about them! So cute!

I have a daughter and grandson doing this in Brigham City today. 80 miles.

Might as well share before I head out the door..I have pictures of my grandson and daughter in their colors.

My daughter
Her son...wishing them good luck, and of course safety....that's a long ride!

HAVE TO EDIT...this young man is going for the 100 mile! Oh, to be young again.
So how did they do? Did your grandson make the big hill? I did it 2 yrs ago between the hill the wind and my knee going out on me I was done at the bottom. That year more people quit then finished the 100 mile. From what I understand.

Pretty sure that was a rainbow. It was that, or a well-disguised cutthroat. Wish I hadn't let it go...............*cough* Birdman, this was up at Strawberry Reservoir. It was pretty windy and cold, but well worth it to go catch some fish. I think this is the biggest one I've ever caught on my own.

Hey Birdguy, how often do you hatch out eggs from your Icelandics?

So, this is Joe, my BSL...

She started laying during this past month (hatched out late last fall/early winter)

And these are some of the eggs she's laid this past week...

Can they go from 'pullet egg's to larger eggs that fast?? The big one on the left is bigger than the BO's eggs, she laid it yesterday... maybe a double yolker?? The one on the right is tiny... Don't remember the eggs changing so fast when I had chickens before... she's been a great layer so far, lays almost everyday since she started laying...

Dalooras, I think I have heard of new layers getting big eggs like that pretty fast. Others would know better than me on this, though.

So today was kind of fun. Came home from church and spent some time out back with the chicks. I had my big girls out, 4/5 of whom make me very excited now because of how pink their faces are getting; had all seven of the 'middle' group out, and Cookie is no longer getting badly picked on, yay! She's growing in more feathers, too; and then I had both my Icelandic boys out, who stayed within several feet of me. Man, they're fun. Very explorative and fun to watch strut their stuff. I think they both have little man syndrome.

And then, for whatever reason, my Welsummer decided it would be funny to come up and steal my hair elastic off of my braid. We had a quick little game of keepaway while I tried to catch her - I so did NOT want one of my birds eating that thing. I finally got her and had to pry her beak open to get the elastic back. She didn't think I was very fun after that.

Oh, Joe is so pretty! I know that my birds' pullet eggs weren't noticeably pullet for long at all.

Red, that rainbow is beautiful. I'm more of a catch and release kind of girl because I don't like to eat fish, but my dh and kids would've insisted we keep that one.

My daughter only made it to 40 miles this year. She knows why too. She hadn't trained nearly like she did last year. But she was happy, man, I know I couldn't do it now.
My grandson on the other hand, made it! All 100 miles! Like I said, oh to be young again! Or, at least feel young. Not only in the mind, but the body!
