Oh, shoot! and I think I'll go ahead and stick with the SS to lay 1st.

She was laying on the coop floor this morning, kicking up the shavings! Little Stink, wouldn't go into the nest box, because little red was in one, and the NH came jumping down off of the roost when I opened the back door, so they are both acting like any min!
And...my husband is also the ward clerk!

Yes, this whole hatch will be white. I am finding it more and more hard to find any other color. I do have that little buff, but guess who is "keeping" that one?

The ones that are here, I had 4 eggs go into lock down. One was a silkie, and the one that had died in the shell..it was white also. A dominate color? Not sure. I should go on the showgirl and ask why I keep getting white showgirls.

I actually prefer the white, I was checking to see if they would be white for sure I like the contrast of the snow white fluff against that blue/black skin. That pic you posted of the two together with their little faces snuggled up to each other was so precious. Let me think on it, I may buy one from you (if you hatch enough )and have Sasha bring it back. I need to ask my son about it, the ornamentals are his, so this would be for his little coop, to take care of What are they like with egglaying do you know>and have you heard if they are broody a lot like the regular silkies? They really are cute

Got some good news on the truck. The insurance decided to total it - not much surprise there. Still waiting to hear how much they'll reimburse us for on the value, but my boyfriend thinks it will be pretty fair. I hope so. We're already looking at other Tacoma's. As much as I love my Jeep*, it's not 4WD capable. And I love exploring with a good steed.

I can't remember who it was that mentioned they had a vehicle up for sale. Sundance, I think it was you, am I wrong? Just wanted to say thank you for mentioning that. I appreciate it

My buff Silkie sold today.

So, sundance wants a showgirl for sure..will save one.

Whittni..do your lavenders have a darker color in the middle..like a blue hue? That is what the lavenders look like when they are hatched. Not like an Ameraucana that is hatched with the blue/lavender look. They will change in color as they grow.
Or, you may have gotten a couple of whites that were thrown in there. .mine had the little bit of buff, more white color on it, then the blue hue in the middle...post pics.
