Utah!

This little guy is a bantam white crested cuckoo polish roo. He's 6 weeks old. Our dear friend Lisa has offered to haul him with her up to Idaho Falls this weekend if anybody up that way wants him. He's free. :) He has gotten along great with all other chickens, male or female, I don't think there's a fighting bone in his body. Let me know if you're interested!

Hey guys... you guys sure have some funky looking chickens. It has been interesting and educational to see the pics and read the stories. Sorry if I do not contribute to posts about chickens, as I am completely out of my element there.

Ha, well, it goes both ways, we are learning a lot about geese. And, we have learned that there is yet another animal lover out there, that will do most anything to help out a poor little thing that has problems. I've been following along with your stories and pictures of that little goose with the bum leg and foot. Talk about commitment to an animal! You are great. Thank you for sharing, and I look forward to how that little one comes along. You have beautiful birds..keep posting pictures!!

Here is my chicken story for the morning. I sent my 4year old son outside to make sure the chickens had water. He came back inside to say that the chickens were gone all 4 of them. I'm thinking crap where are they? Did something eat them? How long have they been gone? So i get out there and the coop door is open. I didn't see any feathers so i started calling them. They came running back from around the corner of the house. I had 1 on the kids grab some treats and we got them back in the coop with no problems. Yay

I completely understand. I am in awe at the knowledge you all have....I really like my chickens, but don't know much. I like the ducks we had last year...still don't know much about them....Now if you want to talk goats, I know lots.

But you all make me smile....I love my chicken friends!

I love it when they come running. When I got home from the crusie I went out in the yard and all the hens and babies came running. Even the ones in the run came to the gate. Sooo cute. I have a cat in labor so will have new kittens and I had 4 chicks hatch over night 1 olive legg 2 auracanas and 1 frizzled americana. No more have pipped yet that I can see. Its day 20 so those babies were in a hurry. No pips on that big brown egg. I so hope it hatches

whew! glad they were ok. I've done that too, but I had forgotten to close the gate to the run, and if I don't hear them squacking in the mornings, I hurry to look out the window to see if they are ok, because, they always yell at me to let them out. Especially my SS..man, she is loud! I'm actually worried that my neighbors are going to start complaining!

Congrats, and you need to post pictures both of the kittys, and the chicks!

Wow, I can't believe you guys are still hatching chicks. I have to admit I am kind of EXTREMELY relieved to not have chickens in my house anymore. Though they area awfully cute.

Delarooshens, I voted for Sam.

IainUtah, I have found your geese very fascinating, please keep posting about them.

Sasha, that little guy is so cute! I hope you find something for him.

Hattie, good luck on your kitty's labor today. Is she a first time mom or a pro?
