Mimi so sad Glad you found a place for them. When I hatch in the February, I will gladly give you another one to see if we can get it right! I am going to hatch Tolbunts then get some mottled houdan chicks already hatched, if you like those I think the Houdans are sexed. Also IFA had tons of Polish in March last year, about the 10th I think. They say they about 2/3 are female but I did not have that kind of luck. Did you find any Seramas?

I just might need a polish and a houdan... Its so hard trying to figure what to get without having a flock with one of everything. I found some serama but I couldnt get down to west jordan before they were sold. Maybe in the spring or something. Have u ever had one? They have my curiosity.... It seems to be easier to find eggs but ive never hatched before

I brought her in for DH to take some pictures..she was so calm, and she just kept
clucking at me, like, ok, what is going on here..I think I like the snuggles. These Silkies are
soo sweet, and don't mind being held..at least not the ones I have. Working on my
little Frizzle. She's still young, but I know she will come around. This is my Cotton.

Mimi, it's hard to let go of your babies, even if they're boys and you can't keep them. I hope you get a sweet Polish female soon.

Cynthia, looove that picture. Silkies are so cute. I think if I had one, she'd get cuddled to death because of how fluffy they are. I already pick up my chickens a lot to say hi to them and cuddle them. The ones that get it the most are my BR/Dominique cross and my RIR, since the latter is always under foot.

Cynthia, you look way too cute in that pic with your baby. If we could potty train these babies, wash them out so they were all clean and nice, I could seriously just sleep with one on the foot of the bed. The chickens have taken over the dog love at our house

Mimi, I will let you know when they come in March and see if you still want one Hope they arrive healthy, I hate the thought of ordering chicks in the mail. But it outweighed the game of hatching and guessing on gender. There will be the Houdans and a few pure white Polish...'snowballs' if you want. Fun. There is the video to that one....I think i watched it ten times and said "awww!" every single time. I hope the quality is ok. I am very biased toward BYC breeders and not hatcheries....but they sure are cute babies.

Red, I am with you on the chicken hugs. I always always have chicken poop or pine shavings on me somewhere lol. Today I came in the house, my Dh gives me 'the look'....he says " you have been out there in the run again huh!" Sheepishly, I reply "yes". Then I look in the mirror a few minutes later, to see pine shavings all over in my hair. Woops, busted....

Oh my goodness, this could be dangerous.....

I'm beginning to wonder if I jumped the gun yesterday on those eggs. They look similar to my BO's eggs, who's been on strike. Gonna watch today and see who's going into that bush and nesting. That would be a really mean joke if it were the BO
