Valentine's hatch-a-long

Well I found the air cell but it is TINY! Lockdown in 2 days. Anyone have this experience? What are the chances for my baby?

I'm on day 9 with 4 Blue Wheaten and 9 Iowa Blue eggs set from my own flock. 3 out of 4 AM's developing and 4 IB's are developing. With this lovely weather we're having here in Iowa I had trouble getting the eggs inside before they froze.

Yep, 2 days til lockdown.

Excited, praying for a great hatch. First time with phoenix and quail.

4 of the 8 I have in lockdown right now are too dark to see movement. I can see the air bubble but that is it. The other 4 are much lighter and clearly were active.

Kinda in the same boat. I have found I do not like not being able to see in the eggs. Very annoying. So far the quail eggs have been no fun, can't see in them cause they are too small and dark.

Hi,
I have not been on for a few days...don't know if you found help with your question?
I just had this happen. The chick pipped at the top of the egg. After many hours of no zip, I removed the top of the egg.
No blood. put it back in the incubator to see if it could finish on it's own.........Finally helped it out...........It is fine...........
