"Does that mean the whole world must stink? I... I mean because you can smell everything..." she murmured shyly, a little fearful that she could have angered the teenager due to her straight-forward curiosity.

Isobel laughed. "Not really. Nothing smells bad anymore, just odd. Like, human blood smells anywhere from honey to flowers. Yours smells like honey."

"Is... is that a good thing?" she murmured. "Does that mean if tastes like honey as well?" she cocked her head to the side. Blood had always had a foul taste to her. Every time she bit her lip, the taste of blood would leave a bitter aftertaste. How could it smell like honey? Maybe its only because Isobel was a vampire. Yeah.. that's probably why. she thought.

"I don't know, I've never tried your blood. But yes it probably would." A wicked glint came into her eyes, and she stared at Arabella. "Maybe I could just have a taste..." She came forward, then laughed at the girl's stunned expression. "That was a joke..." The Vampire sighed. "I'm kidding. I probably wouldn't kill you, just to let you know."

"I guess I should take it as a compliment?" she muttered, as she awkwardly rubbed her arm. She squinted into the distance, "Its almost sunrise. Are you gonna melt like those vampires do in stories?"

"Not really." Her eyebrows arched high in surprise. "You actually believed that?" She giggled. "No. We just don't really come into view when the darkness doesn't conceal our eye color. That is probably where the myths come from. Most people would freak out and stake us if they realized what we were. Or at least try to. Most people fail and become prey when they try."

"O-oh.... okay..." she mumbled once more. She didn't want to become the next meal of the day. "Then how old are you? Are you a million years old?" her eyes brightened as they reflected the fading moon which was overlaid by a light purple sky which signaled the oncoming dawn.

"I'm only sixteen. I was only recently turned into a Vampire. " She sighed. "And I've already had to kill off attackers that found out what I was. They tried to stake me. But I won't kill you, as long as you don't attempt to stake me or light me on fire." Isobel scented the air. A human was coming near, an adult by the smell and heavy footfalls. "Someone is coming. They are older than me. Close your eyes if they come close. I might have to kill him." A head appeared around the corner. His greedy eyes took in two helpless girls, free for the taking. He started to jog towrds them, and greeted them with a coarse "Hello." As the older one turned towards him, he sighted red eyes. The Vampire leapt towards him, her fangs bared, and sunk them into his neck. He barely had time to scream before it was all over, and his limp body fell to the ground. "It's over." Isobel mumbled.

She winced pitifully as her head swiftly darted for her hands as she shut her eyes tightly and clamped her palms over her face. "I-is he still there? I-I don't want to see him..." she whispered nervously, though her voice was muffled by her wrists as she stood, shivering.

"It's over. Here, I'll be back in a second." The Vampire swiftly lifted the dead human, and deposited him about a mile up the road. She was done in a few seconds due to her supernatural speed.
