Vandalism and predator attack.

Pics
alhough I lean towards those lovely little kids being the culprits, it really could be an oppotunistic attack by a dog, even a cat or other animal.
The only surefire way to deal with all of that is is put up 1/2" hardware cloth around and over your outside room, use locks that are human proof.
If you leave your birds out during the day and you are away, you might consider placing hardware cloth under the perimeters too - and don't forget the TV cameras.
I'm sorry that you may have to do all this to protect your girls :(

We received an attack of two pit bulls x2 a week apart. We had two animals on security cam 8/3 go through front. We added padlocks and we have HWC on coop. Not permitting outside run and going to put up HWC. We have three new hens local from person in IN. They survived 2 nd pit bull attack 8/11. Saw vet on anti inflammatories. No open wounds just minor scratch and bruising. I put girls up in coop under padlocks and close windows myself. So scared for my new girls. On security cam tonight 1 fox 5:30-6pm. Just scoped but found no way in. Ready to put them in the garage.

This is terrible that you have to make your place so secure for chickens. These pit bulls - are they running around lose? What happens if they get a kid....???

We contained them on second attack and recommended putting them down regardless if able to find owner. Killed on first attack and second flock survived attack because we padlocked in predator proof run/coop. Kids would have been mauled seriously if around thank goodness not as most in school right now. We hope the police and county listened and felt that these dogs should not be in society as too dangerous. We put 1/2 inch HWC in our extended run with top netting to contain but only during the day while I’m at home for extra space to roam and get to nipple drinkers. We had two days post attack bloody stool x2 went on ant inflammatories for 3 days post vet. Now stools no blood. Doing corid prevention just in case but from healthy flock and we have no coccidiosis risks here. New hens are healthy and working to find parents for prosecution and damages from attacks.

Agh! I hope they stay safe, sounds like you have a good set-up.

We hope so too. I miss my old girls so much. Not to be greeted by Hedy every day is sad. My new girls stay up late and sleep in late. I open the door for food and water and they still roost and come out slow. Old owner must have different schedule. We are early to bed early to rise here. Haha :):lau
