wow, I wish I had 18 laying right now. I end up with roos all the time. I am going to test that old saying....pointy eggs=roos rounder eggs-pullets. I probably won't do that until next spring though.

I'm sorry about Velvet, Cyn.

I know it is a little after the fact but I don't often frequent this part of the board. I just saw your message on the egg board and when I saw you mention losing Velvet I started searching. She was a beautiful bird. I can't really say anything other people haven't already said but I'm very sorry for your loss. Hopefully things will start to look up from here. And just think. You get to look forward to those two new pullets when they get up there. They are about half way there now right?

Ah Cyn, so very sorry about Velvet,agree been one tough year.

Had a few with unbeliveable moults this year. Full body one on one and think she is going to need a sweater soon.

Also worry my flock is older too and hate to loose them.

Monique, thank you so much for posting a picture of Velvet's son! He's so handsome! I miss her silly face around here. Skye is a sweet girl but doesn't have that goofy quality that always made me laugh. I'm so glad you have him.

Chickndaddy, the new pullets are 16 weeks old, so it wont be long before Suede has two new beauties for his harem.
