Vent Gleet? UPDATED* fecal test indicates tapeworms and roundworms

Thanks a million. I am going to start with water (I have a dropper to try first). Then I'll examine her and give an update!
A SCOBY is a Symbiotic culture of yeast and bacteria made for brewing kombucha, a probiotic drink. I bought her some plain yogurt for after fluids.

The dropper method is actually not as safe as tubing. How much does she weigh? Six pounds?

Unfortunately she passed before I got back home. She had lost feathers from her stomach all the way to her vent. It's worth noting I hadn't been examining my hens until this weekend! Didn't know I should! Now it seems they are falling apart! She had very very runny stool that was greenish yellow. She hasn't been laying eggs all winter but I don't think any of my Buff Orpingtons are. Any insight on how to prevent whatever this may be from spreading would be appreciated!

RIP little chicken!

Very sorry for your loss.

A runny green/yellow stool can be sign of a bacterial infection. Would you be up to doing a necropsy on her? They are pretty easy, but it's not for the faint of heart, but I'll attach a manual just in case you decide to try.

As for your other birds, now is probably a good time to get your hands on all of them and make sure all are an adequate weight, and really keep an eye on their poops.

My brother offered to do one! But I just wanted to lay her to rest and get to the other girls. I will focus on the girls tonight after they roost. Can lice cause an infection? Or was it likely completely unrelated to the lice? I will keep researching and see if there are any signs in anyone else!

Many times a hen that's ill will have lice because when they are sick, they aren't out dust bathing. Add lice to an already sick bird and they can go downhill very fast.

That makes sense. Well I will pay extra close attention to health of the two hens that for sure have lice. They were dust bathing today. I gave them all new dirt to bathe in as well. I added ACV to their water and gave them some yogurt with their scratch this evening, just as a precautionary measure. Someone on another thread suggested tylan. Should I have something on hand or is it just too tricky to tell as you said before? At this rate I'm sure I'll be learning a lot more this week!

No one can give insight without knowing what killed her.
A necropsy with lab work is the only way to know definitively what it was and then you can have a plan of action.
Here are your state poultry labs. Some states are free, most are inexpensive.

I wouldn't give Tylan or any other antibiotic if you don't know what's wrong with them. Of all the things that could be wrong, it is a small percentage that antibiotics can cure. Randomly giving antibiotics is what causes superbugs.

Wow thank you! I live 20 minutes from Rocky Ford! That is great news! I might give them a call today! I do need to give them wormer though I believe. I have not done that for any of the girls.
@microchick has been giving me advice on that on a different thread! I am looking at Valbzen or WormGuard plus (which is just food grade DE and other things correct?), or SafeGuard. I had not idea this was something else to give chickens! What else am I missing?? Are there any other treatments I should be giving my girls regularly?
