Goof morning. I noticed bloody stool in the run yesterday while I was doing my daily clean up. I noticed some dried blood on my girl Katie this morning (no more bloody stool that I noticed today). I soaked her in a Epsom salt bath and cleaned her vent area and noticed the lip of her vent was swollen. I thought prolapsed vent but it doesn’t look like any of the pictures I have found. So I applied some preparation H to help the possible swelling but nothing happened. When I lifted the swollen area, some water came out. She does not seem to have water belly, her crop is empty, I felt for egg bound and did not feel anything. I don’t think she has layec in a while, but I do have one or 2 molting right now.
She is eating and drinking, standing and walking normally. Her head seems a little hunched though, her comb and wattle are lighter but not pale. any suggestions? I have her separated at the moment And she has not pooped yet.

She may have a loose vent or it might be slightly swollen from too large of eggs or has attracted some pecking. You could take some droppings in to your vet if they agree, to get it checked for coccidiosis and worms. If she is run down or having immunity issues she could have coccidiosis, and Corid in the water might be something to do if you cannot get a fecal test. Worms can sometimes cause blood in the droppings as well.

Thank you. She is acting normal. I will keep an eye on her
