Vent issue

My hen has something white about 2inches long hanging out her vent. Is this a prolapsed vent? What should I do?

Was she able to expel that? To me it looks like a soft shell membrane. You may need to pull gently when she has a contraction/pushes to help her get that out.

What do you feed including treats?
Do you provide oyster shell for your laying birds?

I believe she was this year's hatch and hasn't begun laying yet. I treated it as a prolapsed vent and so far I got it back in. It was attached to her inside so I was afraid to pull on it. So far it looks much much better. She's in bed for the night I will her first thing in the morning. Thank you for the response 😊
