Vent Problem

My muscovie hen has a problem with her vent. It looks swollen and it apears to be outside of her (if that makes any sense). I dont know what to do about it...

It is possible for them to prolapse. Can you post a pic so someone with experience can see if that is what is going on? If it is a prolapse, you might need to find a vet experienced with birds who can fix her up. I had a snake with a prolapsed vent once, and in the next town found a vet who was able to get it back in and put a little stitch in to hold it in place until it would stay again by itself.
