Vent problems. Need some advice

Pics
Yes I love to pass on experience to help others in the same boat. Just joined BYC Thursday but it's awesome no one thinks I'm crazy for such a fuss over my chicken. She got her first shot and giving a chicken a shot is nerve wrecking. I'm still shaking from last night. Goat was easy but a hen is so small. The recommended dose seems so much cause she's so little
We are all crazy here about our chickens! LOL So you are in good company:lau

sometimes I think I'm just plain crazy :) But I'm ok with it. The agony of more shots for the next couple of days Ann hopefully we will be back on the road to a happy hen with a fluffy butt :fl Thanks for info and advice so far from you all!

Does anyone have any idea of where I can find instructions make a sling for her prolapse. I found some instructions. I work better with pictures. She's doing ok still but I'm pushing back in all the time and don't think will heal till it stays in

I have chicken chick poop chart. I tried but the link won't work or I can't figure it out. I'm gonna keep looking. Just want it to stay in!

Thank you!!! Looks tricky but gotta make it work. Going out to get bandages. Just gotta figure out how she covered the vent but she can still poop. I need to look at chicken anatomy haha. Her hen looks just like diamond. Thank you so much I stink a searching online

It looks like she cut a small slit where the vent would be. Maybe trimming all feathers on her butt, making a clear path around her vent will help.

Here's some ideas for slings

Thank you for all the ideas. I'm try to ace bandage technique. I don't know how she would sit still for the others. She seems to be doing well. A little irritated understandably but she learned to like a bath. She actually fell asleep while I pet her in the bath. Too cute
