Vent problems. Need some advice

. Thanks so much. Quite an ordeal it felt like. I can relax a little again instead when I am home. I didn't mind the extra care...it was seeing her miserable that made nerves shot.

I know the feeling all too well.
I lost a hen this weekend, one of my oldest girls. Had her inside for a few days before she peacefully passed away yesterday morning. I tried to help her and felt like a failure that i couldn't. But things happen beyond our control. We do what we can, and love them no matter what.

:hugs I'm so sorry for your loss. Hopefully she was comfortable and with her mama at the end. Over the years I've realized the smaller the animal the harder it is. But well worth it

IMG_1564.PNG We couldn't let her back till this morning due to high winds and heavy storms but after my daughter put her back outside this morning she sent me this picture because she was concerned. I looked it up on the chart and it looks like her high protein diet cause that but I'm not quite sure. Seeing what you guys think I'm probably over worried but that's what I do

According to chickens poop charts, that sort of poo is ok as long as it doesn't stay that way.

I'm having my daughter keep an eye on her today and her poop as well. She's a good caretaker Hopefully it will start looking better since she can eat her regular feed again now. I'm assuming it was all the protein she had been eating to help her get better. I love the poop chart it's come in handy so many times

I can't remember if @casportpony has posted here yet. She's my go-to for poop-ology. :D

Well when she first came out they were pecking but she ran straight to the rooster and they left her alone. It's still a little tense especially today when they are cooped up cause it's been pouring rain but not too bad. I can tell she's much happier running around the yard than being stuck in a dark kennel

Pretty well. I had a scare the other day when I came home and there was white feathers all throughout the run. Then I realize they're molting by the lack of eggs. Everyone is getting along just fine now except when it comes to feeding time which is normal. My Rhode Island Reds are so mean sometimes. I thought I raised him better than that. I do however find diamond hanging out by herself a lot but when I let them out two free range she's up and about with everybody else. She still hasn't started lying again yet though
