I have a hen that has a prolapsed vent.
She's been prolapesed for 2 days now. When it's pushed back in, it come right back out. It's about the size of a golf ball. It has developed a yellowish crust around it.
Is the yellow crust helpful for healing? Leave it or try to remove it?
I don't imagine it will stay in as long as it is this swollen. What has caused this swelling?
Any suggestions to reduce the swelling?
Will it shrink by itself over time?
Thanks.
