Ventilation In Metal Shed Coop

Great info! We will be sure to get insulation and do as u suggested. We will make air vents at the top and make sure they are high enough so not to allow air blowing on them in the winter and in the summer I plan on making the entire front wire but leaving the doors slid open just so we can close if needed. Thanks again for all ur info!!

Good to know all of this! We planned on putting a lot of hardware cloth around it but leaving the ability to close it off come winter time. We live in North Carolina in the US so have moderate to hot summers and basically lows in the 20’s in the winter with the occasional snow storm!
we also live in NC and need/looking for ideas for our metal shed we converted to coop. it was super nice in winter for warmth and protection from rain/wind but finding its too hot in summer. we have an outside open kennel/run attached for them also. what type of windows/venting do you have. fans ?
