Venting about neighbors dogs please ignore.

Thank you all for the advice. I did not really want to work on my old dump truck today so I just enjoyed the sunshine and my birds. I got some help and finished off the roof so I feel good about the chickenhawks now. If they work their way in, they will not ever work thier way out. I am confident about that now and willing to trade 1 for 1 with that breed of pest.

My dad helped me put some neosporin on a couple of pecked marked babies and I fixed my water trailer.

Something magical happened about 5:00. The neighbors got home. I only noticed because I was riding fence. I heard thier dogs yelping, but for a change they did not come bounding over the hill straight to my coop as usual. Thank you all. I hope this is the new status quo.

Be careful with paintballs and pellet/bb guns. In most places it is legal to shoot the dogs but illegal to do anything that just bruises them or causes any kind kind of nonlethal injury. It's considered animal abuse. It's stupid, but that's the way it is. You could be arrested if you bruise a dog with a paintball gun in most jurisdictions.

in that case, shoot it, take a pic of where you shot it, throw the carcass over the fence.
