that is messed up, I have been trying to avoid posting until a verdict came through on your end. I was abused form age 6 to age 12 and it happened during the years I was in Spain living with my mom and grandmother, it was my step dad, long story short I cracked when I was 15 and told what happened, he was arrested he confessed to doing the same thing to his own 2 daughters and he was allowed to walk free after he paid 30,000 Euros. though he has the title of child molester, he pretty much got away with it too.
I had a lot more confidence in the canadian justice system, but after this it just seems they too are just full of it. but I guess it goes hand in hand with allowing Karla hamolka walk the streets too. Dar, I don't know you, but from a fellow canadian, or more Ontarian, I feel for you but more for your son. The S*** part is that they allowed soo much time to pass before a trial, something needs to be done. And I think its BS that they have to protect his identity, I can understand your sons, but him, what rights should he have after doing such things....none...topics like these flare me right up. I get super passionate over things like this. there is one thing my husband always tells me, if something like this was to happen to our children there would be no judge, no jury no protection behind bars for the culprit. I don't think of myself as a person who thinks that way, but In this case I wold agree with my husband 100 percent.
btw, speaking of justice system, a man was convicted of a traffic violation and the judge tried to give him 5 months in monteith, drivers and vehicles failed to inform him they had suspended his licence over a ticket, got pulled over in his friends truck and found out that night. this was my husband. Luckily our friend who is a police woman spoke up as the ruling was being read, Instead he was order to pay 1500 dollars. Over a 230 dollar ticket he forgot all about.
His coworker, went to a bar got drunk and when the police was called over his misconduct he attacked the police officer breaking his nose and giving him a black eye, he also tried to de-weapon the officer. He was given a slap on the wrist!!!!!!!!!!! This is what they call justice!!!
Everything else I want to say I can't in order to respect BYC rules, so I will show restraint.
you must be exhausted, and the disappointing you must feel is likely overwhelming, but take heed tomorrow the sun will shine!!
Hugs,
