23 years sentence is VERY rare... trust me..

You're right...
You cant "cure or fix" a offender..
All they can TRY to do is therapy.. and give them "tools" to use when they get the urge to offend again...
Which is a sick joke...

Its WHY i believe with ALL my heart that offenders should never see daylight again... NEVER give them to chance to offend again,.... because they most likely WILL offend again...

Just like the fact that I am 'wired' to be attracted by fellas (my own age), pedophiles are 'wired' to like children... so no, that's not something that can be 'fixed'... at least not with our current knowledge of the human brain... can't just snip a particular wire and fix it... so basically all they're taught is how not to be caught next time.

I'm so sad, and downright ill, to hear of ANOTHER case like this. And especially to see another child be hurt by such a thing. The attack is bad enough, but to be called a liar... which IMO is what it amounts to when a jury believes a pedophile over a child... that's just salt into the wound. To have "the good guys" decide that the child is the bad guy... rather than the attacker. What in the nine hells is that.
