I
just saw this post on craigslist, a 4x8 coop and 10 laying hens for $100 in South Royalton! This looks like a good setup for someone!

I must resist, I must resist...........

I am setting 24 of my Black Cooper Marans' eggs in the incubator this weekend. Anyone interested in chicks, $5 each? Pick up only. I will post pictures of eggs and birds later today. I can also set some EE/marans eggs for Olive Eggers if anyone is interested.

I am looking for a few Blue Laced Red Wyandottes or Splash BLR chicks.

Speckled Sussex too.

Can any of you good folks direct me to someone in this state or NH who has some?

Thank you.

I
bought bbs orp eggs on ebay from Florida and Georgia and had really good luck, too good, I'll be looking for a home for some roosters in a couple months.

Birch Run Farms in Montpelier has the Ameraucana's http://www.birchrunfarms.com/FOR_SALE.html

Thanks latebloomer! I've hatched a couple batches of Renie's eggs and have gorgeous chicks galore

I don't think Ann has b/b/s/ Ameraucanas; I think she has wheaten? Thanks though!

Anybody know of any stores in or near Chittenden County that has chicks?

I had ordered through L.D. Oliver in Milton and got my 8 chicks today, but one didn't make it on the ride home. I might be tempted to pick up a few chicks somewhere since mine are only a couple days old now. I know L.D. Oliver didn't have extra to sell, just what people ordered.

Thanks, you too!

We got 2 Rhode Island Reds (only 1 made it home though), 2 New Hampshires, 2 Rhode Island Whites and 2 Barred Rocks. They should all be pullets, but that will remain to be seen I guess. They are 3-5 days old now. I wouldn't mind something different actually, but I do want to stick with similar size breeds that are cold hardy. It seems other than TSC not many places around here keep day-old chicks unless you've ordered them in advance, and they don't order enough extra to sell.
