Yes! Thank you for just putting this out there.Hi
I know everyone is (rightly!) busy living their lives, but it would be neat if we frequented this thread more.
Vermont is a lovely little state, and BYCers are cool people. We have an opportunity for a great thread.
No pressure, no guilt (real life comes first!), but if you are moved to do so, please consider sharing if you’re starting a project, or something went well, or you got new birds, or you’ve finally stacked all your firewood, etc.
I am currently out of state in college (and maybe feeling a little homesick) so I only have a few current pictures of my birds from my mom. In the meantime, I would like to share my old photos of Vermont scenery, and write briefly about some places in Vermont that I love.
I’ll probably be pretty sporadic (my goal is once a week). Feel free to just drop by and read.
One cool thing about our little state is that many people will probably recognize places they’ve visited or driven through!
Bonus chickens![]()
if you can tell me where this is:

Awesome!!!!Hey! It's been a warm November so I've been finishing house painting projects before winter actually comes. Planning to spray paint some lattice today. Still have my garden shed to finish siding with cedar shakes. Hopefully I can finish that this year too!
There was a Barred Owl in my duck pen this evening! He flew up into a crabapple tree and watched me the whole time I did the evening animal chores. I hope he gets those rats!
Poor guy! But you can't help but laugh at that face.I caught a great horned owl in my duck pen netting a couple years back. Had to get him out and then run him over to VINS because he grabbed his own wing in his talons and tore himself up.
