VERY Abnormal fright and molting coming from flock - Advice please!!

Pics of coop: IMG_4369.JPG IMG_4370.JPG IMG_4372.JPG IMG_4374.JPG Starting from top left. These are their nesting boxes. When we got our Christmas trees this year, I gathered extra branches to make their nest boxes appealing. Top right: this is a roosting spot above their nest boxes. The wooden crate thingy (not sure what it's called) is a divider and one of our chickens likes to roost at the top of it. Bottom Left: Other roost for the other chickens. Bottom boxy thing is for nothing. We have a tree stump for them to climb up on to the roost. Bottom right: This is a part of the roof. We basically have sheets of plastic, metal and wood on the roof that is nailed in place. We live in CA, so snow is not a concern.

Have you checked her over for external parasites and/or pecking from her flock mates?
No on the external parasites, I'll check tonight. I know that she does not get pecked because she is alpha and I haven't seen any signs of pecking from anyone or on her.

I checked the flock over last night for parasites. Everbody was completely normal looking. Sunshine's pins get more sparse towards the bottom of her neck, which is relieving.

Also one of our molting hens, Octavia (yes, they all have names), is pins all over. I'm concerned that with lows of 35 F and highs of 58 F with practically no sun, as their space is shaded by many trees, that she will get too cold. I'll post pics soon.
