Very Annoying Silk Browser Copy/Paste Bug

When I copy and paste a link like this:

I get this:

For some reason it does not copy this part:
/threads/byc-recognition-medals.1214207/

Anyone wanna try installing Chrome for Android from the .apk to determine if the issue is isolated to Silk?

I have installed Chrome, this is a silk browser bug.

Does not seem to be a problem for me on Mobile (iPhone), on neither Safari nor Chrome.

It's driving me crazy!

It was 100% bad for about 6 weeks, mysteriously corrected and now is back.

I would clear cookies for site. Try the link again in some sort of incognito mode .. does it have that? Not familiar with silk

Great suggestion, but clearing cookies & cache does not fix the problem.

I've been dealing with this since last year. It went away for a few months but now it's back.

I noticed that too! Interesting that it went away and then came back.

I found two workarounds, one is to highlight all but the first letter or the URL like Dave Edwards suggested, copy & paste, then add https://www and the first letter to the copied text. The other was installing the Chrome browser.
