Oh my word, Pup, I just found this thread. What a week you have had!

First, I commend you on your brave mercy with your cochin hen. It really is the crummiest job we have with animal care, and in cases like these it is the finest gift we can give when our animal friends are suffering. From another critter person who has made the same hard decision, I say well done. Be at peace.

And for your gorgeous silver Marans . . . you indeed have a chicken angel watching over these two!

You have been blessed this week.

And for your kittens . . . perhaps the hardest thing of all is witnessing the suffering of brand new little lives. I am sorry for your loss. Cuddle all the remaining babies, and know you have again been blessed.
