your coop plans and detailed instructions are incredible! It just looks so much easier to manage for a novice like me. and the finished result looks really great!
I have been serously considering the catawba coop- but it looks kind of laborious- and the lumber is pricey for such a small coop.
A few questions: I didn't take the time to do the math, square footage/number of chicks for this coop?
what about weather- how well do you expect the roof to hold up? would it be possible to add shingles to this roof?
I have 4 chicks, so I really think your design is the one I might go with- the economical usage of the lumber is really a money saver. I am going to review it with my coop builder comrade today(my 14 yr old son) and maybe we'll go get the materials later.
