Very first egg!

All 4 hens are 24 weeks as of yesterday and today we got our very first egg from one of the Production Reds. We are tickled.

Yeah, first eggs are fun. They ALL are fun! It still feels like Easter every morning. We're waiting on one Wyandotte to start. She is 32 weeks old and nothing so far. The others have been laying for 2 months!
