You did what had to be done.
and the cats owner was given fair warning..
If she cared so much about her cat she would have taken better care of it
I am an owner of cats and am responsible
for the trouble they can cause.

Kudos to you..

Ok guys, So today I came home to my pheasants going crazy.

I didnt have any more chicken wire to cover that hole that was cut into my pen, so I ziped tied a patch of burlap over it till today when I could get wire to patch it.

Anyways I come home to find an orange object in my pheasant cage. I grab my shotgun and book it up my yard to the pen. When I get there I see the other cat that that white one brought with it.
But things were differnt this time. The cat was dead. It had several slashes all over its head and neck and its chest area. It noticed that its eyes were pecked out, and its juglur arety in its neck was severed.

So what happend I think was think cat broke back in to grab a snack, and the pheasants pecked and gashed it to death. Has anyone ever heard of this? I knwo they will kill each other but a cat???

I called that lady and she said it wasnt hers, so must have been a stray.

The pheasants looked fine, but I put antibotics in the water just to be shure.

werid huh?

Gosh, payback apparently! Just get a shovel, bury the cat, and you know nothing... what cat? lol Either way you're not at fault, the animal came onto your property, broke into your cage, and your animals defended themselves. But I don't think the cat's owner would look at it that way. Give them birds a pat on the back. I need me some pheasants now.
