Very odd situation with 1 week old chick...

It's pretty amazing. When I got home she and a few others were under the MHP. I got her out and gave her some NutriDrench with the Q tip. I set her down in the brooder and she literally ran over to the food and ate like crazy, She ran all over the cage and even climbed on top of the MPH to join her sisters. I am SO glad/relieved/amazed/happy. She has had a few episodes but she recovers and goes back to the flock. She is sleeping under the MHP now. I think she's gonna make it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone.

Good news!
Any plans on future 'treatment'?
Keep up the nutridrench for a few days then stop and see what happens?

That is the plan. We are doing the NutriDrench in the main waterer as a precaution for another week or so. #7 still has a ways to go so we'll try to get as much in her as possible over the next few days and go from there. I think we will do the NutriDrench in the main waterer on some sort of regular schedule. Perhaps once a week or once every tow weeks just to be safe. Suppose some extra vitamins won't hurt. The rest of them obviously got a boost out of it. They are still up going nuts.

#7 still hanging in there this morning. We gave her some more ND on the Q tip and a little bit of Vitamin E from a capsule and she is with the others eating and drinking. Still doing the ND in the flocks water as well. She has a long way to go but looks like she's getting better.

Im going through the same ordeal. My 4.5 week old EE developed wry neck yesterday. I started ND in her water and gave it directly to her via syringe also. She did get up to eat and drink this am which was nice to see but she still hangs her head down. Going to pick up some vitamin e and selenium today.
