Very odd situation with 1 week old chick...

Well there is also the possible issue that what if you lose track of #7, and another problem comes up? You won't know if it's the same bird with multiple problems, or a different bird altogether next time.

True. We were planning on banding them any way.

#7 continues to improve. Appears she spend most of the day just being a chicken. She interacted with the flock, ran, jumped, tired to fly, ate, drank and pooped. We only saw 1 short and minor episode but there may have been more while we were at work. Overall steady improvement. I'm amazed at how far she has dome in 2 days!!

Hopefully you will be able to observe more this weekend.
I think that if vitamin deficiency is the problem, they respond very quickly when supplemental vitamins are given.
Hoping for the best!

She was out with the flock when we got up this morning. First time she's done that since this all began on Wednesday. She has come an amazing way since then for sure. Not sure we will have much more observance time this weekend though. We've promised to have our racing operation on display for a benefit car show today and the usual all day Sunday responsibilities tomorrow. We are still cautiously optimistic.

#7 is continuing to improve. She's right with the flock all the time now. We are still giving them NutriDrench but we've reduced to half strength and we continue to give vitamin E on a Q tip to #7 each morning. That is becoming more and more difficult as she has improved. She's fast!! Have not seen her have any episodes in the past 2 days but of course we aren't home during the day so it's difficult to know for sure. We're still guardedly optimistic that she is recovering fully.
