Very odd situation with 1 week old chick...

Videos from this morning. Incredible improvement. No episodes this morning at all. Little slow start. She's not a morning person.

She is the one that jumps out of the bowl and runs around the log and then jumps up on it flapping her wings.

lol... What an improvement. Now I'm having to tell you which one she is. We were talking about her being smaller than one of her sisters on the video so that's the deal with Cheryl saying "Not alarmingly so". We have 3 Austrolorps. 1 is a little larger than the other 2. #7 is the same size as the other one.

Im going through the same ordeal. My 4.5 week old EE developed wry neck yesterday. I started ND in her water and gave it directly to her via syringe also. She did get up to eat and drink this am which was nice to see but she still hangs her head down. Going to pick up some vitamin e and selenium today.

Will try to add a picture later
@HeatherTheMommy ...Best to start a new thread specific to your situation.

Hopefully she'll catch up Terry and remain healthy after stopping the vitamin supplements.
I'm sure you've kept in mind that she would have a genetic defect that could cause problems later down the road.
Wonders how you can tell her apart ...now and in the future. Might consider banding her for ID.

Terry how did you add a video perhaps i can try to add one to my thread

There is a button that looks like a piece of film on the top of the box between the picture and the smiles. Just hit that and paste the URL for the video in that box. The video has to be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo to work with the BYC software.

Wait and see is our approach. We'll do everything we can for her and see how she progresses. I do not want her to live a less than full life. I certainly don't want us to have a chicken that needs constant care or is being picked on or whatever because of some genetic or other defect. I will take the appropriate action if she does not make a full recovery. We were planning on banding them so we can tell which is which anyway but my feeling is that if I can't tell her from the others then we don't have an issue.
