I can type fairly fast but ive never timed myself, ever since ive stopped playing a RP Game called WOW, I cant type quite as fast but i have to watch my fingers or i make a lot of mistakes.
I got a mercy C- in my typing class many years ago...I'm afraid to take the test. My fingers are dyslexic, I type think the keys for the right hand are on the left side, and vis versa. It makes for slow typing and lots of errors.
When I typed lots, I did about 35 wpm. My husband's freakishly fast typing got my papers typed back when we were dating.
65 WPM with gusts up to 80...
probably be considered 80 WPM if I didn't spend a little of that untyping and fixing errors
instant spell check in programs like Word has improved my typing accuracy quite a bit... and my spelling somewhat. nothing like immediate feedback to help you improve your skills.
I just took the tests, my scores were anywhere from 25 to 45 wpm. It depended on the ease of spelling, and the amount of punctuation. Most of the typing I've done for work has very simple punctuation; no quotes, no dashes, no underlining. Scientific SOPs don't often need those types of punctuation, and most of the rest of the typing has been pretty basic.
