I don't understand what you mean by that. Pretty sure it's acceptable in ANY area to take a baseball bat, chair or whatever else you can grab and beat the heck out of a dog that is chewing your mother's face off.
That is terrible...
I tried to find out if it was a rumor, but I can't find anything to prove or disprove the story.
Oh ok, gotcha. Sorry. I actually agree with you on the discipline thing, a lot of people underestimate the importance of establishing pack order when acquiring a dog, especially when getting an adult. I don't think it's specific to the UK though if that's what you were inferring.I meant that there are effective and ineffective ways to discipline a dog. Some societies look down on the more traditional punishment and reward methods and some do not. They try all these new whisper techniques and such and they just are not reliable. I have seen with horses when they are taught these ways that they can explode where with traditional methods they are less likely to do so from a possibly live saving method that teaches them to fear man. I would bet that that dog has bit people before and had nothing done about it. Poor dog. Killing that dog would have been my first reaction. There are cultures in the world where people starve before they eat a cow or kill a rat and drink water contaminated by feces because they cannot shoo the cow from the water source. I know I am speculating but it seems odd that nothing was done. Ever see the movie Time Machine? H.G. Wells when the people in the future watch a person drowning and sit by idly and watch? that is what this reminds me of
