Thank you all again. I know it is hard t believe but it was an Owl, Saw him again tonite. he was back for more. he is huge. He flew up out of the outside coop when we drove up at 6 tonite and it was dark.
I just ordered eggs from my friend Bobbi Porto of Indigoegg. She has the most awesome silkies. That is where I bought my black trio which were hatched out of some outstanding lines. I am going to hatch all the blacks I can from the two remaining girls also.
Thanks again for all your support and wonderful offers on eggs. Maybe we can all swap some this next year. Julie

So sorry to hear about the loss of the beautiful silkies however positive outlook for those Porto hatching eggs!

I am certain some of the folks have bought some of your Buff Silkie eggs would be happy to provide hatching eggs or started chicks for you.
