Very Sick Cayuga Drake- Can't walk and VERY skinny- Please help!

Thanks Amiga. Just an update...Mr.Pickles is in stable condition. As long as I continue feeding him, make sure he gets his oral vitamins, and fluids he should make it to his appointment. Overall, I am very impressed with his condition. The first night I isolated him I wasn't sure if he would make it through the night...then he made it a second night. He is still very sick but his mood seems to have improved. I am optimistic.

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to say thank you for all your love and support. However, I am sad to say that Mr.Pickles passed away tonight.

Since I last posted I brought him to the Vet and at first we both thought he had heavy metal toxicity. But two ex-rays later there wasn't anything in him that verified that...Unfortunately, the doc and I were stumped. I ended up bring him home with an antibiotic, fluids, and a recovery food formula. The entire last week I was giving him medicine, crop feeding him 2x a day, and pumping him with 100ml of fluids a day. It wasn't enough. First, I noticed he could no longer float correctly and then tonight he started having seizures, at least one an hour...which eventually lead to cardiac arrest around 9:50 EST. He was my first duck and my baby...I knew this might be coming but it still sucks...

Thanks again..RIP Mr.Pickles.
