Very Sick Chicken! Can't Seem to Pooh! Very Dirty Vent and Green Area Near Vent

Don't you have a Wal-Mart or even a gas station that might have Preparation H???
Wal-Mart sells Epsom salt too.
If you don't have Veterycin, just use Triple antibiotic cream (without pain relieve).
Also at Wal-Mart in the band aid section get the large wrap stuff that has some tack to it. Usually comes bright colors of Orange or Pink.
At least soak her in warm water, crumble some tums or calcium pills for her to eat in her food for extra calcium. I would think you'd have this in your cupboard?
Like the link above said that LeciaBee sent, wrap something around her to hold it in.
Here is a link from that link on photos and how to wrap her up. http://www.littlehenrescue.co.uk/Pages/Medicaladvice.aspx
Here is a link that you can get ideas, but I think they won't work as good and likely waisting time that you could have taken to go to the store.

I guess it all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into saving your hen.
If you want to treat her properly you need to go to the store NOW!
List:
  1. Preparation H no pain killer in it.
  2. Epsom Salt
  3. Triple antibiotic cream no pain killer in it
  4. Large wrapping material for wrapping wounds or bandaging (usually bright colored)
  5. Also some big square white bandage material to put on her vent prior to wrapping her up. See link above
Like I said, right now it's 10pm and this started only a few hours ago when all the stores were already closed. Even if this had happened in the middle of the day, I live in a rural area with the nearest wal-mart 3 hours away. I do have some tums and some triple antibiotic cream that I can use.

Luckily, after a nice warm bath the prolapse went back in. She still hasn't pooped yet so I think egg binding is a possibility. Right now it's past 10pm where I live, its dark outside and there's not much I can do. Do you think she can last till morning?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no,depends on how long she has been like this. Soak her again,do you have any calcium tablets as suggested in link i sent? Keep her quiet, calm and in a dark location, but inside home.

I'd for sure not have her out in the coup with the other hens.
If it pops back out before you get out their in the morning the other hens will peck at it and pretty much game over then.
Bring her inside and make her comfortable in a darkened room or clean container.
If you wake up in the middle of the night and check on her and see it out again, for sure poke it back in and press and massage it for a bit until it stays in. Or soak it again if you have time or awake enough. Make sure she has plenty of water. Avoid salt in her diet.
I'm no expert, but would an ice pack work for just a few minutes?

Rub some vaseline around her vent,if you have no calcium tablets,do you have tums if yes, give her one.
I found some calcium tablets! how much should she be given? I'm guessing a whole tablet would be too much, right?

give her the whole thing.
I gave her two tablets that were 250mg each. She layed an egg, but it was normal sized. Furthermore she is still straining and only getting a little poop out. I gave her some apple sauce and she is still straining and only getting slightly better results. Whenever she strains, she bobs her head up and down rapidly for 5-10 seconds. Anymore ideas anyone?
