Very thin blue copper maran

Chick starter is fine, actually more protein than layer, but layers need some extra calcium with some crushed oystershell or crushed egg shells fed back. Many people use flock raiser, which is pretty equal to chick feed, in flocks with multiple age birds and roosters.

Wow , how does it calculate to that? Just curious.
I have no other food except chick starter. But I'm going to try a more nutritional feed soon. And give her some high protein treats. Thank you all so much for your help! I hope this works!:fl

@Fitchicken
For calculation - you posted that your chicken weighs 2lbs 38oz.

1Lb (pound) = 16oz (ounces) so the 38oz is 2.375lbs. This added to the 2lbs you reported comes to a total of 4.375lbs. Did you by chance misread your scale?

I agree with @Eggcessive the chick starter is fine to feed her.
Make the chick starter at least 95% of her daily intake, so drastically cut back on the bread, corn, etc. A little bit of egg or fresh veggies a day will be fine. See if the change in diet will help her improve.

You can feed older pullets chick starter? Interesting, I fed my older pullets chick starter and a calcium supplement, but their combs got really small and shrunken, and they didn't act right.

Okay thank you! I've been feeding her more protein like tuna and egg but I'll start her on the chick feed. I noticed though a little red in the droppings where they all like to hang out. And her crop was softer today than yesterday. No mites or lice

Can you post some photos of the poop?

Red in the droppings could be intestinal shedding, just depends. Coccidiosis is also a very real possibility, so having a fecal sample tested is always a good idea. Coccidiosis could be a contributing factor of her not gaining weight and be more "poorly" than the others. Treatment is with Corid which can be found at most feed stores.

Surprisingly it's gone, and I haven't seen anymore. But I noticed that her balance is bad and her toes I think got frost bite. :(

Surprisingly it's gone! I couldn' see any red later on. And I haven't seen any since

If the red-tinged droppings are gone, then likely what you saw was intestinal shedding - it can be a bit of a dull looking red color.

I'm sorry to hear that her feet got frostbitten.

Just wanted to let everyone know BB passed march 31st. she lasted a long time for her condition,she did gain wieght, but she had lost all her toes. Thankfully she was still active and happy. Thank you all for your help.
