Very thin chicken (Americana)

Do the valbazen, 1/2 ml or 1/2cc. Give her a flea bath and blow dry her. I recommend the Adams Plus Flea and Tick Shampoo. It's nice to have their spray around too. I dab it around the ears and wattle with a q-tip and spritz a few key places.

If you don't have Ivermectin pour on, pick up a small bottle of that. I'd put some drops on her 7-10 days after the Valbazen. If she's a medium sized hen, probably 5 drops. I tell you, I never see the darned bugs but I know they are there.

I'm thinking she may be an internal layer or have some soft shelled egg stuck in there. At this point though she's so skinny, she won't be producing. No swollen abdomen. Her vent is not pulsing? I wouldn't worry about this too much at this point, you need to fatten her up.

I've been giving a little hen egg yoke mixed with cooked green beans, bits of grape, potato (cooked), any tasty leftover. You're going to have to grab her once a day, take her aside, and give her some things to chow on.

Update, she is eating well and her crop is very full. Sleeping a lot. Here is a picture of her. As you can see she is eating and her feathers are in pretty good condition, she doesn't hold her tail down and she is very bright and observant. Couple more days we will see how she is.
