Very weak newborn runner. Please help.

And don’t try and feed this duckling yet give it time to recover it doesn’t even need to drink. That is what the yolk sac is for they live off of it a couple days. Hopefully by tomorrow it will be doing much better

Believe me it’s not thirsty it just needs to rest and recoup tomorrow if it’s holding it’s head up good and the sac is in and you are ready to move it to the brooder then is the time to offer water and by that we mean dip just the tip of the bill into warm water for drinking. If it’s interested it should take some sips. Do you have more ducklings than this one?

Thank you for all your help today. Our little guy is definitely a fighter. He tries to walk but keeps falling over to the left. Hopefully that will correct itself when he gets stronger. I have 9 others. And 8 more out back.

You have that little one with the belly open in with the rest of your ducklings? I hope not you don’t want poop on it or letting the others walk on him and get feet on this area. Sweet babies!

Happy to report he is fully absorbed and running around with the others.
