Vet is stumped! Why are my hens having so much trouble??

Pics
I believe the vet would order the implant in and the price seems to range between $100-$150 including the vets fee. The implant lasts between 3 and 6 months. At this time of year I would expect it to last about 6 months. Even with the implant there is no guarantee they will not die but it should give them a better chance and feel better in the interim period.
I'm sure either one of those calcium supplements will be fine. Crush one up and mix with peanut butter or sprinkle on scrambled eggs and hopefully they will take it willingly.

Edited to add..... don't feel obliged to go for the implant. My finances do not run to veterinary treatment for my chickens so I am not suggesting you go for this option.... just giving you as much information as possible so that you can make the best decision in your circumstances.
So either of those calcium supplements would be okay...should I split one between the two girls or give each girl their own?
I am very grateful for the implant info bc it’s something I have been considering since this all became such an ordeal. Obviously their bodies need a break. And I don’t have any other way to give it to them. Best I could do would be to cover the rest of their coop/fence, but it’s already pretty shaded in there.

Edit: to answer your earlier post, the drakes are fenced separately from the girls. I have one group of 3 that I used to let run in the big yard with the hens in the morning before I let the rooster out, but I stopped when the vet mentioned infectious viruses just in case. I watched their behavior closely for several days before leaving unsupervised. The drakes paid them very little attention & gave the hens plenty of space because if they got too close my barred rock would charge at them. ;) I love her spunky little self!!

And I think both girls are still moving eggs through in some form or fashion, but they just don’t ovulate as often at the moment because of heat or molt or whatever the case may be. I think the tan one (I was told she was an americauna but I may have that wrong) still moves egg parts through when they happen. I looked at the dates on my first baytril & she started that on July 24th, so she was on the baytril about 10-11 days before that lash egg moved through. Which makes me think the baytril did help. I have my vets researching salpingitis thanks to all the info you guys have given me. (Xoxo to all of you!) And I’m going to send them a text in a few minutes asking about the implants also. You guys are the best! And this forum is the only reason any of my birds have survived or thrived!!

This is a photo of the supplements I put in their water. Wasn’t doing it daily until we started antibiotics. Also a couple different treats I was trying instead of human food bc they were on super clearance at tsc one day. And one of the chicken coops & their yard. Just a reminder, I had to separate the rooster several months back because he was too rough on the girls & the hens would Not wear a saddle. I even tried making my own with no success.

Be aware that certain supplements will make antibiotics ineffective.

It sounds like you are doing everything you can. I know how hard it is not knowing what’s wrong. It would be so much easier if they could tell us what hurts.
Oh no! Should I stop any of those?? They have access to plain water also bc sometimes they won’t drink the water with the liquid nutrients in it.

I’m sorry to say I never remember what interacts with what. I know when I gave antibiotics I had to buy distilled water because I have a well. The hard water and minerals wasn’t good to mix with the drug I was using.

Hopefully someone with a real answer will chime in.

I’m so glad you mentioned that, it wouldn’t have crossed my mind!
Oh boy we are on well water too. Bought a test online. Found out it’s very hard & slightly acidic...if that makes a difference. I could easily do distilled water.

image.jpg image.jpg Any reason this won’t work?? It’s all I could find in liquid at wal mart. They didn’t go for the crushed tablets. At all! If this liquid is okay, now much per hen per day?
Thank you!!!

I’d get a current weight. I’d follow manufacturers dosage. There are treats high in calcium. Kale and collard greens. Mine love salmon (canned) I also put almonds in the food processor (they love it) and yogurt. Don’t know what you treat them with but give these a try.
Is the liquid calcium I got okay for my girls & in what dosage potentially?
